Thurston Howell III

Thurston Howell III is a fictional character from the classic television series 'Gilligan's Island,' portrayed by Jim Backus. He is depicted as a wealthy, oblivious socialite who, along with his wife Lovey, becomes stranded on a deserted island. Despite his vast fortune, Thurston's entitlement and ignorance about his circumstances provide much of the show's humor, as he continues to regard his fellow castaways as social inferiors while completely out of touch with reality.
