Tilo Held
Tilo Held is an influential psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, recognized as the first psychiatric clinic director in Germany to also be a trained psychoanalyst. Born in 1936, he led a clinic in Bonn and served as a professor of psychiatry, where he developed innovative approaches to treating mental health patients in their environments rather than in hospitals. Together with his wife, cultural theorist Christina von Braun, Held co-authored the book "Kampf ums Unbewusste," which argues for the importance of psychoanalysis in understanding societal issues and individual psychology in today's world.
