Titina Louizidu

Titina Louizidu is a prominent Greek Cypriot activist known for her legal battle against Turkey regarding property compensation for her home in Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus. She gained recognition for being the first individual to receive compensation from Turkey after appealing to the European Court of Human Rights. Recently, she was in the news as she served as a guide for Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, during a visit to a barrier in Cyprus that symbolizes the division of the island since the 1974 conflict.
