
Tom Rafferty
Tom Rafferty was a former NFL offensive lineman who played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1976 to 1989. He was a key player in the Cowboys' offensive line, contributing to their Super Bowl victory in 1978 and helping protect Hall of Fame quarterbacks like Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman. Rafferty is perhaps best remembered for his pivotal block during Tony Dorsett's record-setting 99-yard touchdown run in 1983. After retiring from football, he transitioned to a career in sports equipment sales. Rafferty passed away at the age of 70 after suffering a stroke.
