Tova Friedman
Tova Friedman, born in 1938 in Gdingen, Poland, is one of the youngest Holocaust survivors, having escaped the horrors of Auschwitz-Birkenau at just five years old. Her poignant memories include witnessing the brutal murder of her grandmother and narrowly avoiding death in a gas chamber due to a technical malfunction. After the war, she emigrated to the United States, where she became a psychotherapist and raised a family. As a witness to the atrocities of the Holocaust, Friedman has been an outspoken advocate against antisemitism and a prominent voice in Holocaust education. She has gained attention on social media, particularly TikTok, for sharing her story and emphasizing the importance of remembering history.
