Victor Lukovenko

Victor Lukovenko, also known as Viktor Vasilyev, is a controversial figure linked to Russian Military Intelligence (GRU) and the founder of the African Initiative news agency, which has been accused of disseminating disinformation on behalf of Moscow in Africa. Previously sentenced to eight years in prison in Russia for racially motivated murder, he has positioned himself as an expert on West Africa and has faced sanctions from the UK for his involvement in destabilizing efforts in Europe and Africa.
