Víctor Saavedra

Víctor Saavedra is the director of the Agencia Distrital para la Educación Superior, la Ciencia y la Tecnología (Atenea) in Bogotá, Colombia. Recently, he was in the news discussing the new credit line initiative aimed at providing financial support to students from public and private schools facing difficulties in accessing education financing through Icetex. Under his leadership, Atenea is launching a program that aims to assist 2,000 students, offering interest-free loans with subsidized repayment terms, designed to alleviate the challenges posed by the current educational financing landscape in Colombia.
