Vladimir Peftiev

Vladimir Peftiev, born in 1957 in Berdyansk, Ukraine, is a Belarusian businessman and former arms exporter who was associated with the controversial regime of President Alexander Lukashenko. He was a co-owner of BelTechExport, a company involved in the export of arms and military equipment until 2012. Peftiev has faced sanctions from the European Union and was described as a key financial supporter of the Lukashenko regime. He gained notoriety for his connections and lobbying efforts in the U.S., having engaged the services of American lobbyist Darryl Nirenberg, which has brought him back into the spotlight amidst ongoing scrutiny of his business dealings and political influence.
