Vladislav Baumgertner
Vladislav Baumgertner is a Russian businessman and former CEO of Uralkali, a major potash producer. He gained notoriety in 2013 when he was arrested in Belarus amid a conflict between Belarus and Russia over potash sales. His arrest was linked to accusations of abuse of power and theft related to the cessation of sales through a joint venture with Belarus. After a tumultuous legal battle, he was eventually deported to Russia, where charges against him were later dropped. In 2015-2017, he served as the CEO of Global Ports and subsequently led the Swiss company Alevo. Recently, Baumgertner made headlines again due to his disappearance in Cyprus, raising concerns about his whereabouts.
