Vladislav Hreskevych

Vladislav Hreskevych is a Ukrainian skeleton athlete born in Kyiv in 1996. He is notable for being the first Ukrainian to represent his country in skeleton at both the World Championships and the Olympics. Hreskevych has been an outspoken advocate against the war in Ukraine, using his platform in sports to honor those who have lost their lives due to the conflict, which led to his suspension from the Olympics for wearing a helmet decorated with the names of fallen athletes.
