Volodymyr Zhuraľov

Volodymyr Zhuraľov, 49, is a Ukrainian national who has been implicated in the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, which were damaged in September 2022. He was arrested in Poland and is described by German prosecutors as a trained diver who participated in the operation to plant explosives on the pipelines. However, a Polish court recently ruled against his extradition to Germany, citing the potential justification of Ukraine's actions as a response to Russian aggression.
