William Roper

William Roper was an English writer and lawyer, best known for his biography of Sir Thomas More, which provides a detailed account of More's life, character, and moral integrity. Roper's connections to More, including being his future son-in-law, placed him at the center of the historical and political turmoil during the reign of Henry VIII, particularly regarding the King's split from the Catholic Church.
