
Xavier Roughan
Xavier Roughan is an ambitious teenager from Invercargill, New Zealand, who recently gained recognition for his innovative idea for a non-antibiotic treatment for mastitis in dairy cows. His proposal won him a 25% scholarship to the prestigious Future Doctors & Scientists summer programme at the University of Cambridge, where he is currently studying biotechnology. With a background in dairy farming and beekeeping, Xavier balances his academic pursuits with entrepreneurial ventures, including selling honey for charity. He has also secured an $11,000 grant from the Youth Education Fund to support his studies abroad.
