Xu Bai

Xu Bai, 28, was in the U.S. under the J-1 visa academic exchange program and was employed at the University of Michigan. He has been charged with conspiring to smuggle biological materials into the United States, allegedly making false statements to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in connection with materials related to roundworms sent from China.
