Yagana Usman

Yagana Usman is a 40-year-old mother from northeastern Nigeria, residing in a camp for displaced people due to the Boko Haram conflict. She has suffered the tragic loss of six of her 13 children, including her infant twin who died from malnutrition shortly after a U.S.-funded nutrition program was abruptly cut. Usman's surviving twin is now at risk as she struggles to secure adequate food and nutrition amid ongoing cuts to vital aid programs.
