Yarvand Martirosyan

Yarvand Martirosyan is a 52-year-old Armenian citizen who has faced significant challenges throughout his life, including multiple incarcerations and struggles with addiction. Originally from Armenia, he moved to Belarus in the 1990s, where he became entangled with the law due to various incidents, including a notable case in 2024 where he was imprisoned for insulting the president amid a conflict with police while intoxicated. After serving time in a high-security facility for repeat offenders, he was unexpectedly released in December 2025 following diplomatic interventions. Now residing in Poland, Martirosyan is seeking asylum while battling health issues and the aftermath of his past, aiming to rebuild his life with the assistance of volunteers and support organizations.
