Yelena Trupanov is the mother of Alexander Trufanov, a Russian-Israeli man who was recently released from captivity by Hamas. Along with Alexander, she was also captured during the conflict but was released in November 2023 during a truce. The family immigrated to Israel from Russia in the late 1990s.
