Zareef Ahmed Shaikh is the head of the Indus Fishing Cat Project (IFCP), an initiative aimed at the conservation of the endangered Indus fishing cat in Pakistan. He has been instrumental in raising awareness about the cat's critical role in maintaining the ecological balance of the Indus delta and has worked to engage local communities in conservation efforts. Under his leadership, the IFCP has sought to document the species' presence and promote protective measures against habitat loss and human conflict.
