Zia Ghafoori

Zia Ghafoori is a former interpreter for U.S. forces in Afghanistan and the current head of the Interpreting Freedom Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting interpreters with the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) process. He has publicly voiced his feelings of betrayal regarding the U.S. government's handling of Afghan immigration under the Trump administration, highlighting the despair felt by many of his former comrades.
