Zoora Shah

Zoora Shah is the mother of Labour MP Naz Shah, who was convicted of murdering her partner, Azam, in 1993. Her conviction was rooted in a tragic history of abuse and desperation, as she was driven to kill the man who had inflicted years of violence upon her and her family. After serving 14 years in prison, she was released in 2006 and has since worked towards reintegration into society while grappling with her past.
