Abdul Wahab Saleh

Abdul Wahab Saleh was a prominent Indonesian photojournalist known for his courageous documentation of the Indonesian independence movement. He is best remembered for capturing the iconic moment of the tearing down of the Dutch flag in Surabaya on September 19, 1945. His work as a photographer for the Indonesian News Agency (KBI) helped to convey the spirit and struggle of the Indonesian people during the tumultuous period of independence.
