Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was the King of Saudi Arabia from 2005 until his death in 2015. He was known for his modernization efforts in Saudi Arabia and for promoting a more moderate image of Islam, while also playing a crucial role in the Arab Peace Initiative which aimed to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
