Abolhassan Banisadr

Abolhassan Banisadr was an Iranian politician and revolutionary who served as the first President of Iran following the 1979 Islamic Revolution. A key figure in the early days of the revolution, he was an advocate for democratic reforms and the separation of religion from state. However, his presidency was short-lived as he faced opposition from more radical elements within the revolution, ultimately leading to his exile in 1981.
