Jafar Sharif-Emami was an Iranian politician who served as the Prime Minister of Iran during a critical phase of the 1979 revolution. Appointed in an attempt to stabilize the country amidst growing unrest, his government struggled to address the demands of the opposition and ultimately failed to quell the revolutionary fervor that led to the downfall of the Shah.
