Karim Sanjabi

Karim Sanjabi was a prominent Iranian politician and leader of the secular liberal National Front during the Iranian Revolution of 1979. Educated at the Sorbonne, he was a professor of law and became a key figure in the opposition against the British-backed Shah of Iran. In October 1978, he met with Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in Paris to draft a declaration outlining the principles of the upcoming revolution, emphasizing democracy, Islam, and national independence. Sanjabi's contributions to the revolutionary movement highlight his dedication to establishing a democratic and secular Iran.
