Alonso Cueto
Alonso Cueto, born in Lima in 1954, is a prominent Peruvian writer and academic known for his contributions to narrative and essay writing. His works have been translated into 17 languages, showcasing his global impact on literature. Cueto holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature from the University of Texas and has had several of his novels adapted into films. He has maintained a close relationship with the family of Nobel laureate Mario Vargas Llosa, which inspired his latest publication, 'Palabras en el mundo,' a literary essay that celebrates Vargas Llosa's influence on literature, released coinciding with the author's 89th birthday.
