
Ashton Pittman
Ashton Pittman is the grandson of Joe Harris, a World War II paratrooper who served in the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion. Pittman has spoken publicly about his grandfather's remarkable wartime heroism and the challenges faced by Black soldiers during that era. In honor of Harris's legacy, he has undertaken paratrooper training to pay respect to his grandfather and to the sacrifices made by the Triple Nickles.
