
Benjamín Scharifker
Benjamín Scharifker is an accomplished academic and scientist, recently appointed as the president of Espacio Anna Frank, a Venezuelan nonprofit organization focused on promoting coexistence through culture and education. With a background in Chemistry from Simón Bolívar University and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Southampton, Scharifker has held significant academic positions, including rector of both Simón Bolívar University and Universidad Metropolitana. He is also a member of the Venezuelan Academy of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences and has held various international roles, including assistant director at the Hydrogen Research Center at Texas A&M University. His leadership aims to continue the organization's mission of fostering values such as solidarity and respect for differences.
