Billy Alexander is a Co Kerry-based horticulturist and former bank manager known for his exceptional fern collection, which has earned him multiple accolades at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show, including a gold medal and Best in Show in 2023. Originally from Blackrock, Co Dublin, he transformed his passion for gardening, ignited by a gift from his late Aunt Cora, into a successful business with Kells Bay House and Gardens. Alongside his wife, he cultivates a remarkable collection of ferns in a historic subtropical garden, blending his banking background with a love for nature.
