Boris Zimin is a businessman and the son of Dmitry Zimin, the founder of the Russian telecommunications company VimpelCom. He has been in the news recently after being convicted in absentia of fraud related to the theft and sale of a controlling stake in the company Bryanston and a significant share in the car-sharing service BelkaCar. Zimin has been recognized as a foreign agent in Russia and has been publicly supportive of opposition figures, including Alexei Navalny.
