Cam Davies is a trained chef with 15 years of experience, who, along with his partner Selina, became the proud owner of The Fat Duck pub in Te Anau in 2016. Originally working on private yachts in Europe and the Caribbean, Cam discovered the pub listing while anchored in the Caribbean and decided to take the leap into business ownership. Overcoming initial challenges, including a quiet start and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cam has successfully transformed The Fat Duck into New Zealand's top gastropub, renowned for its quality food and service. He attributes the pub's success to a positive work environment and strong community support.
