Carol I al României
Carol I, born Karl Eitel Friedrich Zephyrinus Ludwig von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, was the first King of Romania, proclaimed on March 26, 1881. He ruled for 48 years, during which he modernized the country and secured its independence following the Russo-Turkish War.
