Cătălin Cenușă

Cătălin Cenușă was a 17-year-old miner working at the Petrila mine during the June 1990 Mineriad. He was on leave visiting family when the events unfolded in Bucharest. Although he did not participate in the Mineriad, he observed the miners arriving in the capital and noted their unfamiliarity with typical mining attire, raising suspicions about their true intentions. After witnessing the protests, he returned to his job in the mines, choosing to remain uninvolved in the violent confrontations, reflecting on how miners were manipulated by various factions during that tumultuous time.
