Cheng Ke-shuang was the grandson of Cheng Cheng-kung and the last ruler of the Kingdom of Tungning in Taiwan. His capitulation to Qing forces in 1683 marked the end of Ming loyalist rule in Taiwan and the island's incorporation into the Qing Dynasty.
