Emperor Kangxi was the fourth emperor of the Qing Dynasty and one of the longest-reigning emperors in history, ruling from 1661 to 1722. He is known for his military conquests, including the incorporation of Taiwan into the Qing territory, as well as for his efforts in consolidating and stabilizing the empire during a time of great change.
