Also known as Tataco, he is a seasoned Indigenous activist and the skipper of Evu, an Indigenous patrol group dedicated to protecting the Javari territory and its inhabitants from illegal activities. Following the tragic deaths of journalist Dom Phillips and activist Bruno Pereira, Tataco has taken a leading role in training Indigenous activists and has committed himself to safeguarding the Amazon, vowing to continue his mission despite the dangers involved.
