Dámaso López, alias El Licenciado, is a former high-ranking member of the Sinaloa Cartel who became a significant player in the power struggles following the arrest of Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán. He was involved in a violent conflict with Guzmán's sons and was eventually detained and extradited to the United States.
