Darya Kozyreva

Darya Kozyreva is a 19-year-old anti-war activist from St. Petersburg, Russia, who was sentenced to nearly three years in a penal colony for her protests against the Russian military actions in Ukraine. In February 2024, she was arrested for gluing a quote from Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko onto his monument, expressing her dissent against the war.
