Deborah Bronnert

Deborah Bronnert is a British diplomat who served as the UK Ambassador to Russia from early 2020 until November 2023. With an extensive career in foreign service, she has held various positions within the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, focusing on international relations and diplomacy. Bronnert's tenure in Moscow was marked by navigating complex geopolitical issues, especially in the context of UK-Russia relations. After her term, she was succeeded by Nigel Casey, who was nominated to take on a new role as the UK Ambassador to the United States.
