Dr. Kathleen Lynn was a pioneering Irish doctor and suffragist, notable for being one of the first women to graduate in medicine from University College Dublin. She played a significant role in the 1916 Easter Rising as the chief medical officer of the Citizen Army and co-founded St Ultan’s Children’s Hospital, addressing high infant mortality rates in Dublin.
