Eduard Babariko
Eduard Babariko is a Belarusian political figure and activist, known for his role as the head of his father Viktor Babariko's presidential campaign during the 2020 elections. Following the election, both Eduard and his father were arrested in June 2020 while delivering collected signatures to the Central Election Commission. Eduard spent nearly three years without trial and was ultimately sentenced to eight years in prison in July 2023 on multiple criminal charges, which he has denied. His ongoing legal battles and the harsh treatment he faced have drawn significant attention both domestically and internationally, highlighting issues of political repression in Belarus.
