
Eduards Stiprays
Eduards Stiprays is a seasoned Latvian diplomat who has recently been appointed as the new Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia, effective March 1, 2025. He has held significant positions within the Latvian government, including Deputy State Secretary and Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has served as Latvia's Permanent Representative to the EU. Stiprays has also led the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan from 2016 to 2020 and has been an ambassador to the United Kingdom and France. His role will focus on enhancing EU-Central Asia relations and promoting values such as democracy, rule of law, and human rights.
