Elbridge Colby Egan

Elbridge Colby Egan is an American defense strategist and former Pentagon official known for his role in shaping U.S. defense policies during the Trump administration. Born over 45 years ago and raised partly in Tokyo, he is a member of the Republican Party and the grandson of William Colby, a former CIA director. Colby studied at Harvard University and Yale Law School, and has held various positions in national security and intelligence within the U.S. government. His nomination for Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Policy sparked controversy due to his advocacy for a revised approach to U.S. foreign policy, particularly regarding China and NATO.
