Elsa Sánchez de Oesterheld

Elsa Sánchez de Oesterheld was the widow of Héctor Germán Oesterheld, the creator of the iconic Argentine comic El Eternauta. After the forced disappearance of her husband and most of their family during Argentina's military dictatorship, she became a prominent figure in the search for justice and the truth about the fate of her missing grandchildren. A member of the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, she dedicated her life to advocating for human rights and the identification of children stolen from disappeared parents, expressing her hope that her grandchildren would one day discover their origins.
