Enrique of Malacca
Enrique of Malacca was a Malay slave and interpreter who accompanied Ferdinand Magellan on his historic expedition to the Philippines in the early 16th century. His unique background allowed him to communicate with local populations, and he is notable for possibly being the first person to circumnavigate the globe, as he returned to his homeland after Magellan's death.
