Erlan Akkenzhenov
Erlan Akkenzhenov has been appointed as the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, a position he assumed following his prior role as the Vice Minister of Energy. Born in 1979 in Almaty, he has a solid educational background in law and oil and gas from prestigious institutions. His career spans over two decades, beginning in 2002 with KazMunaiGas, where he held various key positions including Director of Oil and Oil Products Exports. Akkenzhenov has also worked internationally, including in the UK with Chevron Texaco and in Bulgaria with Rompetrol. His experience in the energy sector is extensive, making him a significant figure in Kazakhstan's energy policies and strategies.
