Ernie Friedlander
Ernie Friedlander is a Holocaust survivor who arrived in Australia after enduring the atrocities of World War II. He and his mother were among the few in their family to survive, thanks in part to the guidance of a German soldier who advised their escape. Settling in Australia, Ernie built a life for himself and his family, becoming a grandfather at 90. Recently, he has been active in advocating for educational programs to combat rising antisemitism, emphasizing the importance of understanding and addressing hate in society.
