Mimi Wise

Mimi Wise is a Holocaust survivor who fled France with her family in 1946 due to rising antisemitism and the threat of persecution. After a harrowing journey that included cramped conditions on a cargo ship and a stop in a military camp in Vietnam, the Wise family arrived in Sydney, where they established a new life. Now reflecting on her experiences, Mimi is vocal about her concerns over the resurgence of antisemitism in Australia, expressing disappointment in how it contrasts with the welcoming environment she found upon her arrival.
