Eswin Mejía, also known as Edwin G. Mejía, is a Honduran citizen who was recently captured by the National Police of Honduras after being a fugitive since 2016. He is wanted in the United States for his alleged involvement in the death of American citizen Sarah Root due to a drunk driving incident. Mejía is facing serious charges, including motor vehicle homicide and failure to appear in court, and is currently in the process of extradition to face justice.
