Eyadema
Gnassingbé Eyadéma was a Togolese military officer who seized power in a coup on January 13, 1963, becoming Togo's first president. His rule lasted until his death in 2005, making him one of Africa's longest-serving leaders, but his legacy is marred by accusations of authoritarianism and human rights violations.
